Thursday May 27, 2010 morning I was preparing some paper such as printing and copying some paper for the meeting. Furthermore, we have a meeting with all the managers of the branches in all the emirates in this meeting we explain for them that for three days there are a group of people will assess Emirates Post which means they will visit any branch to asses them. From this meeting we explain for the manager that they must be prepared well and we explain also for them again about the citation to explain it again for the employee in their branch. Moreover, we went to the office to work on the document which means to but every citation on separate file and each file we must put dividers and check it but, we didn’t finish our work because we went to the other meeting in this meeting me and my colleague surprised because they to a surprise for us like a small party because it was the last day. Also, Mr. Saif thanks us for our work and they give us two certificate and some gifts and they bring a cake to celebrate with us. After that we stay in the office tell 7:00 pm we help our supervisor to finish the files and some work for Sunday. In the last we told our supervisor that we will be welcome to help her in any time if she need and she was so happy to hear that. In my opinion I think that DWC must train the student for some Arabic words because more of the student doesn’t know Arabic very much and they will found some difficulties in their work. Also, they must let every student work in their major to have more experience in their work and to benefit that. In addition, DWC must teach the student a lot of programs that help them in their work because I and my colleague found some difficulties in some programs such as Photoshop.

Thursday April 29, 2010 morning my supervisor told me to do some research about the Excellence team and found good information about this topic that we can send it to all the employees to know more about the Award. After I finish my searching she told me to go to the counters and to be a mystery shopper and see it the employee took our points and improve it. In this day I feel interesting I like this job to be a mystery shopper and to let my company be better. Also, I found that some employee don’t care about their job even if they told them about their mistakes.

Thursday May 13, 2010 morning I wrote the minutes of the meeting for our visit to Al Rmool Branch. Furthermore, that the supervisor told me to a professional email to the organization for the visit. After I finish my work we went down to the inspection meeting room my supervisor and Mr. Maher and Mr. Ali was with her they was working on the document my job was to help Mr. Ali and Maher to re check the document and do some search on the internet for some topic to know more about some departments. Also, my giving them a new idea to write some information's that related to Emirates Post. In this day we do a hard job and also we stay in our work for three hours more to finish and check the document before giving the General Manager to read it.

Tuesday May 25, 2010 morning I present with Mr. Ali for the Head section a presentation about information on the field visit to the residents. This presentation was for a whole day because we were talking and explaining to them in a specific and gives them some examples. Also, we answer their questions and we share our ideas with them.

Wednesday May 26, 2010 morning we have a meeting with our excellence team in this meeting my supervisor told every group to put their work in a new file and put the dividers for every section. After finishing this meeting I went to give Ms. Raja an Award Document and let her to sign the paper that I hand her a copy of the document. Furthermore, my supervisor told me to divide and put the HR document in a new file and put the dividers because this group was busy and they can't do their file. Moreover, after I finish I went to every group in our team to ask them if they a needs extra files and if they finish their files to order the files in the excellence team office. Also, I went to Mr. Khalfan Al Suwaidi to take the organizational chart of his department and while they bring the organization chart he was taking about his study and he encourage me to continue my study in HCT because it better than other universities and colleges. In addition I went to the networking department to tell Mr. Abdulla Ibrahim that the excellence team email doesn’t work and he solves the problem. As well I went to help Mr. Maher he is a member of excellence team to finish with him his file and re check the dividers in the files. I arrive home at 4:00 pm I do a lot of different work and the nice thing that we didn’t work in our office and it nice to change the place of working.

Tuesday April 20, 2010 morning I didn’t have any work to do so, I decided to improve my Arabic typing skills. Furthermore, after I finish my typing skills I search on the internet an article about excellence team. After that my supervisor called me and gives me the excellence team folder to reorder it. The folder was very big so it takes time to finish it. In this day I don’t have a lot of work but I improve my Arabic typing skills and that was a good thing because all our work was on Arabic.

Monday May 24, 2010 morning I have two meeting with Mr, Khlfan Al suwaidi chief of inspection. In this meeting he told me about his job and how he hires this job. Moreover, I knew more about the inspection department and about his live and how he begins his work after graduate. Furthermore, I attend a meeting with Mr. Saif Al Shehi he is training manager. He talks to me about his study and his career job. This two meeting encourage me to continue my study and work in a good company and to overcome any problem.

Sunday May 23, 2010 morning I continue the dividers of each criterion and print it, I found some difficulties because when I put the folder in the USB all the files copied and some of the file delete to I must re do some dividers and that take time to finish it. Furthermore, I took the dividers to the print room to copy it for us. Also, I took the document of the Award and I went to my supervisor to take the paper that I must let all the managers to sign. I went to each manager department in Emirates Post to give them the document and sign the paper. Moreover, I did an interview with a construction manager her name is Fouzya.

Thursday May 20, 2010 morning the supervisor told me and my colleague to make a presentation for our excellence team for their visit to other main Emirates Post in UAE to explain everything to them about Sheikh Khalifa Award. Moreover, when we finish the presentation the supervisor told me to do a schedule a meeting field visit to the excellence team this schedule is to attend the visit. Furthermore, I do a schedule for the visit to write the name of the department and to sign. Also, at 11:00 am we had a meeting with direct manager his name is Abdulla Al Ashram in this meeting thank all the excellence team and encourage them then he gives them a certificate. In addition I print the dividers for the Sheikh Khlifa Award document after printing them I put each criterion alone but I didn’t finish it because it needs more inaccuracies in doing it so, the supervisor told me to send to emails to the team the first one is about the letter to all the managers in Emirates Post in all the UAE and the second email was about the visit and all they need such as the instruction of the timing that they must be there , the presentation, the attendance sheet, and the other schedule. In this day I had a lot of work and also I learn a lot of things. Finally I went home at 3:45 pm I was so tired because I do many different thing but in the same time I was happy to learn and do many different thing.

Wednesday May 19, 2010 morning they bring the newspapers and I begin searching about excellence program article I found two articles related to excellence program one of these article are related to Emirates Post. Furthermore, I send an email to the team about the meeting that will be on Thursday which is tomorrow. Moreover, the supervisor asked me to call all the team member to make sure that on Sunday May 23, 2010 every two will went to central post in each city in UAE to explain for them how they will assess Emirates Post for Sheikh Khalifa Award For Excellnce . In the end of this day I learnt how to deal with people and also how to request to confirm the appointment in respectful way.

Sunday May 16, 2010 morning I was re order my file and I search is there are articles about excellence team. After that the supervisor called me to go with here to the bookshop to buy files for the document. We went to two bookshops to search for these kinds of files. Furthermore, we visit the printing press with the supervisor to take Emirates Post Document. After that I went with my supervisor to the prize for the performance of the government to hand our document to them to assess it.

Wednesday May 12, 2010 we have meeting with our excellence team from 8:00 am tell 9:30am in this meeting we discuss the guide field visits to the United Arab Emirates Award for Excellence in government performance. Also, we discuss how we will go to Al Rmool because we have a meeting at 10:30 am. Furthermore, we went to Al Rmool in the sorting center we talk with the manager and some employees about what they must do when the evaluation team will visit them to assess Emirates Post and we gives them some examples and more information about everything related to every criterion in the document. After we finish the meeting they took us for a tour to show us the machines it was wonderful and I enjoy this tour, I expected it easy to distribute envelops and stuff to the people or companies, but I was not unexpected that there are machines to distribute these things by cities. Moreover, there are rooms which called a video room they can see and scan the papers and envelops that the writing is not clear. Also, before they take the things to give the people or the companies or send it to other countries there are a department that checks the things which called the security section and custom they check before sending or giving it to the people. After we finish we return back to our office and I was typing the minutes of meeting and send it to my supervisor.

Tuesday May 11, 2010 I complete what the supervisors gives me which is the sample of a cover sheet that they need to put it in the folder from outside to now each folder refers to which criterion and for which group. Furthermore, I called the organization for the social visit. Moreover, I sent an email to my supervisor about the organizations it's a schedule about the timing, name of organization and the location. After I finished my work I improve my Arabic writing, I improved my Arabic writing and other skill by doing some researches on the internet after I finish my work to learn new words and also to let my Arabic writing be fast.

Monday May 10, 2010 this day was hard we have a lot of work to do. The supervisor gives me four documents I must re check the format, the grammar mistakes, and see the number of the paper and the appendices. I was very hard to do four documents on the same day because it needs time and I must concentrate. Although it was a challenge to improve my Arabic skills and to ask if I need help but it was easy and enjoyable because I was reading some document and I benefit from some employee for example to take more training session to improve my skills and to get more information about my work. In this day I don’t have different kind of work but it was nice to share my information and show them that I can do whatever they need from me and I can do what the employee who work on Emirates Post can do . My supervisor was so happy because I am late on the work for one hour to finish the entire document and give her without any mistakes.

Sunday May 9, 2010 morning the supervisor gives me a sample of a cover sheet that they need to put it in the folder from outside to now each folder refers to which criterion and for which group. It was enjoyable to make this work because it’s easy and I was enjoying doing it. Moreover, the supervisor called me because she was on a meeting and she told me that she wants me to inform some organization because our team wants to go for a social trip to visit for example elderly care center and school of special needs in all the emirates I must take some number and call them about everything after that we will decide which organization will visit. In this trip we will communicate with then and give them some gifts and talk with them, I called many organization in different cities and I asked them about number allowed to visit them , and also their free time.

Thursday May 6, 2010 was a wonderful day I learnt a nice thing that I wish to learn little about it which is how to activate the email. My supervisor was in meeting and she called me at my office, she told me that they will call me from the networking department to activate our excellence team email. The employee called me and he show me step by step how to activate an email it was little complicated but it's nice to learn new thing even if it's not my job or major. Furthermore, the supervisor asked me to search on the internet about what is Organizational Excellence, European model of corporate excellence, stages of the evolution of European model, the TQM and their tools, how to implement quality in the institutions, types of Excellence AWARDS in the UAE and the world, and finally about Sheikh Khalifa Award for Government Excellence . After I searched about these topics the supervisor told me that these topics every day we will send to all the employee email from our excellence team email to gives them more information about our job and what is this Award. And every day we must found new interesting topic to send it to the entire employee in Emirates Post.

Wednesday May 5, 2010 this day the supervisor gives me a document for an employee who wants to join Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellence Employee. This employee was from Ras AlKhaima I was surprised that he is small which 22 years old is and he got a lot of certificates hi document was horrible he had a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes. My job was to format and read his all document to see if all what he wrote are matched with the general paper that hold all the instruction to join this Award. Also, the supervisor told me that this Employee will come and I must explain for him all his mistakes and told him to re do his document. Moreover, after I finish this document my supervisor called me to see the other employee to check her document because she wants to join this Award. This employee was much better that the first one she had a lot of information and her writing was perfect. In the end of this day I learnt a lot of things that I learnt before in the school like the grammar and spelling in Arabic but when I came to the college I forget these things, but I memorize all these thing in my work placement because all their work was on Arabic. It was a good challenge because the entire government sector work on Arabic more than English. My supervisor very happy because she thought that I will found difficulty to format this document in a good way.

Tuesday May 4, 2010 I came to Emirates Post and the supervisor wasn’t on her office she was on Ajman because they have a meeting there she told me that Ms. Zahra will come to give me some work to do then at 10:00am I can go home. In this time I was searching on the internet about the excellence team if I found any new information about it and I improve my Arabic skills. Moreover, I call my supervisor again to ask her about Ms. Zahra but she didn’t answer me I stay in my work tell 12:00 pm then when I didn’t found any reply from my supervisor I went home.

Monday May 3, 2010 we have a meeting with our excellence team from 8:00am to 3:00 pm this was very important meeting we discuss all the requirements , information, and missing data for each criterion because these the last days to deliver the second draft of the document. Furthermore, all the excellence team must bring the appendices for each criterion for each group. Moreover, the supervisor discuss with all the team about the field visits to offices and evaluation mechanism. In addition we discuss the weekly press release for the excellence team and the latest development. This day we have a lot of thing to discuss to finish and deliver the document on time.

Sunday May 2, 2010 morning the supervisor give me a paper that related to excellence team I must re order the paper then put it in a folder. Furthermore, I went to the network department to talk with the manager to activate the email of excellence team also, he gives me an overview about how to activate an email but he told me that they are busy they will went outside the office. After that I set with my supervisor and some of my excellence team group to discuss about the document that we will deliver to general manager to take the approve from him and to see if all the information was right. In this day we have a lot of work to do and all our team on stress to re check their document but my supervisor encourages them to be relax and work well. This day was a wonderful day I learnt a lot of different thing from my department and from the networking and I have a general information about activate an email. Also, the Mr. Sultan told me more about his job and I knew from him that most of his work is outside Emirates Post which means to visit other branch and some time he travel outside the country. In addition, my supervisor gives me schedules that all the team will use it in our visit to other branches in all the Emirates. This schedule is to assess the other branch the first one is about the cleanliness of the branch, advertising, brochures, and all that related to the office. The second schedule is about the employee and how they treat the customers and if they are doing Emirates Post rules. The third one is to ask the customer about the services and all things that related to the confident of customers.

Tuesday April 27, 2010 this morning we have a lot of work to do first we have a meeting with the IT department to talk with them about the Award because the was the excellent department so, they will join this Award as an excellence department we met the employees who write the document. In this meeting my job is to write the meeting minutes and to concentrates because after the meeting I will write everything and I will re do the document and check the spelling and grammar. It was a good meeting and they are perfect department they connected with different departments such as the networking, and inspection department they have a lot of programs that they do it for them, this was a new thing that I knew about this department. Moreover, the supervisor told me to go to the library to search for our team folders, divider, and many different things and to get the prices and then I return back to Emirates Post and I told my supervisor about the prices and we do a small meeting to see which library better and when they will buy these things. Furthermore, I finish my meeting minutes for this day and I send it to my supervisor after that I check the spelling mistake for the IT department then I re format the document. It was a nice day but I have a lot of work in this day but it was fun because I don’t like to stay at my office without work I feel boring.

Monday April 26, 2010 morning we have a meeting with our excellence team to discuss about every document that they wrote and share the ideas. Also, we discuss about doing something new in Emirates Post and who in which department, all the team share their idea by giving us a new good department and they wrote it in an excel sheet . In this meeting my job is to write meeting minutes, after we finish the meeting I went to my office to write the meeting minutes which means to write ho present this meeting, and the absent, when we start the meeting, the end time, and to write what every person said and the idea after that I must put all this information on the word document in a schedule. Furthermore, the supervisor call me to talk with me about the work and if after graduate we apply for a job she gives us some points to do it before working to feel comfortable in the work such as: to show the manager that I want this work, and to work hard and finish it on time but I must do all my best to have a good result. This discussion helps me a lot to think more about the work and to choose a good place to have a good experience.

Sunday April 25, 2010 in this day I was full of energy because it's the first day on the week. In this day I have a lot of work in this day the supervisor sends me all the documents of the team to put it in one document also she gives me the document that have all the details about Sheikh Khalifa Award For Excellence such as the colors, writing type, size, and many different things that related to the award. After I collect all the information in one document I format the font and the size and everything after I finish I send it back to my supervisor to check it and then send it to the manager to check the information. Moreover, the supervisor gives me to write some emails to the team and ask them about the meeting that will be on Monday and ask them if they finish or want some help before the meeting. Furthermore, I went to the networking department to ask their manager about some problems that I face on my network also he send some employee with me to check it. In addition , after I finish I search on the internet a topic about excellence team and also if there are a new information about them to discuss it with my supervisor and then tell it to my team.

Thursday April 22, 2010 morning my supervisor came late because she was in the other branch in this time I sat in my office and I improve my Arabic writing skills and I search for some websites to help me to improve my writing skills. Moreover, I search on online newspapers an article about excellence team but I didn’t found any article related to excellence team. Furthermore, when the supervisor comes she gives me some schedule to re do it and send it to her. This schedule is about the teams that related to excellence team the first schedule is about the names of the member and the second schedule I must do nine schedules every schedule have different title which is the name of every team. In addition the supervisor gives me some papers to give the excellence team and I must ask them about the topic that we will discuss in the next meeting. After that I came back to my office and I sent emails to our team about the next meeting and the time .Also, I went to the manager and employee in other department to set up with them a meeting for next week and what my supervisor what from them in this meeting .

Wednesday April 21, 2010 in this day we have a lot of work. We went to every office to visit our team and gives them some papers related to the next meeting and ask them if they what any help. Moreover, the supervisor asked me to search on the newspaper about an excellence team and cut the article and put it in my folder because after my trainee I will give them my folder to be as a remembrance for me in Emirates Post. Furthermore, the supervisor gives me an article that will be presented in the newspaper in the new issue. The supervisor told me to read this article very carefully and if there are any mistakes to re write the sentence and correct the mistake. I found a lot of mistakes and I re write the article and then I give it to my supervisor to read it and she was surprised because I found a lot of information's that they write it in wrong way. Also, she told me that she is very happy to gives me a lot of articles that she will present it on some meetings or a letter that she will send it to other departments. What's more, the supervisor gives me a big folder to put papers and reorder the folder in a good and organize way to be easy for her to found any paper that she want it. And I must know every paper about what and to ask my supervisor if I didn’t understand any paper or word and I must put every group of paper that related to each other in one section. I was very happy because my supervisor told our team about what I did and I feel proud of doing this thing to improve my Arabic skills and to show them that I like to work and learn more new things.

Monday April 19, 2010 was a lovely day and I was very excited to attend the meeting and see what every team did and write in their document and how they prepare for the competition. Before attend the meeting I read some papers that related to Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellence. When we start the meeting every team set together to present their document and share it with all the teams. Every team presents their document and discusses it with all of us and we share the information to write extra information and help them some teams to re write some information. When they present the meeting my job was to write who present, the time of the presentation, when they finish the presentation, and what the point that they change and who share this information because after the meeting I must write like a report and write everything that we do it on this meeting. Also, when we will meet on the next meeting we see if the other teams change their information that they discuss it and change some information.

Eleventh day in Emirates Post

Sunday April 18, 2010 was a wonderful day, because it was after the weekend and I was excited to work hard and learn new things from my supervisor. I work on my computer to improve my Arabic typing skills. Moreover, the supervisor gives me all the teams document to put it in one document, see if there is an error in the document such as the spelling, and format it to use it in tomorrow meeting I was afraid because it a big responsibility because these document for Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellence and I must be accurate. After I finish this work my supervisor was very happy because I do exactly as she want. After that she gives me some paper to print it for tomorrow meeting and also, she let me do a schedule for all the teams who will start first and the exact time and everything related to the meeting and the information. Finally I put my papers that I will need it for the meeting in my folder and I make sure that my folder is good and I re order some papers.

Ninth day in Emirates Post

Wednesday April 14, 2010 morning I was excited because we have a meeting in Dubai Police. This meeting is about Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellence in Government Performance they will talk to us about their experience and how they win the award. In this meeting Mr. Anwar, Mr. Bu Ryan, Mr. Ibrahim Al Falasi, Ms. Asma, and Ms. Elham Ahli were with us in this meeting every one of them talk about their department and how they improve their departments to win this award. Dubai Police work hard to win this award they do a program that the other departments can put their suggestion and then the managers discuss their suggestion and work on it if they approve it. Dubai Police had been very cooperative with us and they answer our entire question also, they encourage us to work hard to win this award even we will be one of their competitive to win this award. Our team was so happy because we went to Dubai Police when we came out of the meeting they were eager to go back to Emirates Post and work hard. Furthermore, we took commemorative Pictures to remember this day and also, they give us a memorial gifts and also we gave them a memorial gifts from Emirates Post. After that we return back to Emirates Post and all our team sat together to talk about what we conclude from this meeting and what the positive things that we need to take from Dubai Police and do it in our work. It was a good experience for me to go to Dubai Police and sees their work place and I like also, to work in this place because as I see all the workers there is cooperative and hard working.

Tuesday April 13, 2010 the supervisor didn’t come because she had a meeting in the other branch. So, I started to reorder my folder again and put my new work on it. After that I went to the networking department to ask about my work laptop but they told me that there are a lot of viruses in the laptop and it will take time to finish it. I was disturbed because from one week they told my supervisor that they will bring a new laptop for me to begin my work because there are a lot of works to do in the laptop. Moreover, I went to my office and I call my supervisor and she told me that she will talk to networking department to finish it quickly. Also, I take permeation from my supervisor to use her computer to improve my Arabic typing and she didn’t mind to use her computer. Furthermore, I do some research on the internet and on the newspaper about an excellence department of company in the UAE to put it in my folder. I was so happy because I improve my Arabic typing and I do a lot of research about the excellence team and I know more about other department and companies who win this award.

Seventh day in Emirates Post

Monday April 12, 2010 morning we have a meeting with our excellence team to discuss their parts and to ask if they need any help. After that Mr. Ali do a presentation for us about Sheikh Khalifa Award for excellence officer this presentation was for all the employee who want to participate in this award but he must collect all his certificate and evidence to show it to the committee and he must have experience in his work for more than 3 years also, there are award for the new employee it is a nice thing to do these award to encourage the employee to work hard to win this award after the meeting I saw that all the employee was excited to join this award to win . After that I went to my office with my supervisor gives me a table in all the branches of Emirates Post in Dubai, Abu dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaima, Umm Al Quwaim, and Al Dhaid, I must divided each day. We will visit 4 branches beginnig with Dubai then the other Emirates that will be on May, we will visit all these branches to see the positive and negative point in every branch. For the reason that before we hand the document their are a special commitee from Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellence will come to any branch of Emirates Post and they will evaluate and assess the positive and negative points and if we mention it in our document or not.

And I see from this table of all Emirates Post branches Dubai has the most branches than other Emirates. After that Ms. Abeer told me to go to the counters down stairs and to write all the negative and positives points to discuss it after with our excellence team and she tell me to be cautious to not show the employee that I will evaluate them, from this I see that Emirates Post employee need to be more organized and the must treat their employee well.

Sixth day in Emirates Post

Sunday April 11, 2010 morning there was a meeting with my supervisor to give me the plan for April and May it's nice to make a plan to know what I will do in these two months. After that to take to me to prepare a meeting for tomorrow with our team to discuss what they do and finish on their part. Moreover, she let me went to all our teams to collect the files and ask them if they have any problem to discuss with my supervisor, when I went to collect the files from our team that related to our excellence team after collecting these files I fairest my file and put all my work that I do it and my plan sheet to know what I must do every day. Later I went to the networking department to check if my new laptop is ready to begin working on it but we face some problem with them because Mr. Abdulrahman said that the laptop has a virus and it will take time to finish my laptop also, he come with us to my office to put a telephone for me. Furthermore, I sat with one of our team Ms. Raja she talk to me about her department and give me some advice to be a successful women in my work and to considered that the work my second house and the employee are my family. Moreover, to show my manager that I can do all the work and to finish it on time. Finally, I have many benefited in this day and also enthusiastic to work hard in order to show them that I come to work and develop my skills.

Fifth day in Emirates Post

Thursday April 8, 2010 was my fifth day in Emirates post. It was amazing day I felt that this is the first day to work hard. First, the supervisor called me to explain what I will do she gives me a folder to put all my work on it, after putting all my thing I will give her this folder that last day of my work placement to be as remembrance in Emirates Post. It was a nice idea and I like to put all my staff on this folder to show my teacher and friends what I did in my work placement even if I was searching for a job I can show them this folder and my CV. In addition, they gives me an ID that carried a number from this ID they can check my name and when I come and go also to enter everywhere from this Electronic ID Card. Afterward we went to the marketing department to take what we needs for my new office such as pencils, pen, and more other things that I need for my work. Furthermore, the supervisor continue our tour she took me to the networking I don’t like this place because it was quit and no one can enter any office without permission or someone from the office open the door for his the doors was from iron it was a scary place to work on. Then we went to department of inspection and security it was wonderful place Mr. Rashid Bin Faris introduce the department to me. Who want to work in this department he must have a strong personality, conscience this work requires a big responsibility. But, I think it’s hard for women to work in this place because the women walk behind her emotions. When we came back to our office Ms. Abeer Al Hosani gives me some work to do which is to put some papers on the folders and to rearrange some folders in a creative ways and she explain every section in each folder and there was some papers that I don’t understand in which section I must put it but Ms. Abeer set with me and explain each section and what they do on these sections. Learnt from this that every department on Emirates post related to other department and I learnt a new word that I never hear about. Also to have a good work we must arrange the folders in a good way to not miss any important paper. It was a good challenge to work in this place because it in Arabic and I learnt many new thing and also to communicate with locals because in our culture it's difficult for a women to work with locals. Also, we should have self-reliance and precision in order to get excellent work.

Forth day in Emirates Post

Wednesday April 7, 2010 was my forth day in Emirates Post. On this day we went to our main work place which is Abu Hail branch, in the morning all the excellence team gathered in the meeting room in order to define a next meeting for our team to see their writing examples for the competition and present it for all the team. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday and the supervisor told all the teams to work hard and finish their work before Wednesday to share it with all the groups. Moreover, the supervisor Abeer AL Hosani gives all the team a survey about what we think about this session, how they can improve it, if the teacher explains what we need exactly, and if there is any comment about the session and teacher. After the meeting we went with Abeer AL Hosani to her office and she talk to us about Emirates Post polices because the first three days we weren't in our Branch because of the session that we have taken it in AL Krama Branch. After that the supervisor gives me a newsletter to search if there is a topic about excellence team or department or company in UAE then I must cut the article and paste it on a white paper then put it in my folder. Afterward the supervisor took us on a tour to know more about Emirates Post and the departments. First, she took us to the IT department and they introduce their work after that she took us to the counters in this place they have 45 services that related to Emirates Post and also to pay the electricity and water bill, internet , phones bill, and other different things. Then we went to AL Jawda department this department related to the Director -General office. Also, they communicate with different countries to get a good relation with them and also Mr. Raad told me that they have a good relation with three countries and they wait for the other three countries I was confused that they just have a relation with these three countries such as Singapore he told me this is a program that they do it know as a new program and they are waiting for other countries to reply them. Finally we went to the Postal Museum it was an amazing museum it has different kind of posts such as they do a special post for Sheikh Mohammed from gold also, they can do put our picture in the post and I can use it to sent a letter to my friends and family. In this museum I found Dubai women's College logo and I was surprised. Furthermore, they told that in every occasion such as the national day or other different post and the most post that they sell is the 3D post that carried Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid and Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan and Mohammed Bin Zayed photo in the same time it was amazing post that I have ever seen .

Third day in Emirates Post

Tuesday April 6, 2010 was my third day in Emirates post and the last day of this session then we will return back to our branch which is Abu Hail branch. In the beginning of our class we sat in our groups and we discuss our homework with our team for 15 minutes then we wrote our answers in a big white paper to share it with the other groups and to know our mistakes. After we finished we moved to other section in this session which is about who is our stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and community. We must write them in details. This was our second exercise was to discuss these thing and then write it on a piece of paper to discuss it with the other teams. This class I didn’t get more new information and I told my supervisor and she told me that all the teams didn’t learn from this last class. And she went on the break to talk with the training manager (Saif AL Shehi) to talk with the teacher that they want to know other thing about the project and to correct the samples that they have done it after discussing this problem with the manager he talks with the teacher and he solve with him the problem and after the break he sat with every group and discuss their parts and share it with all the groups after that he check some of the document that they finish it and he guide us with the right way. Our supervisor show us some samples that other department do it and tell us to find the wrong thing that we think it’s wrong and why. Moreover, from this class I learnt how to rewrite the sentence in Arabic word which means that how to write it in a formally way with new words that related to the work this was little difficult for me because all my studies was in English but my supervisor Abeer Al Hosani was so helpful that she helps me in the beginning how to do it then she let me do it alone.

Second day in Emirates Post

Monday April 5, 2010 was the second day. I arrived to work at 7:30 because our session program was at 8:00 am I was very happy because I enter this session with the workers in Emirates post because all that I meet they have a high positions and they have a good experience in their work. Moreover, in this session we sat in groups and every group divided into two or three different departments. In this class the teacher continue his explanation about this program and also he gave us an exercise to help us know more about the project. Furthermore, he guide the workers to have a correct document also, our supervisor bring a samples what they was doing to show the teacher and to have his advice. In this class I learnt more about team work because our group was mixed with different departments so I have an idea about every department and know more about the program because in the first day I was little confused about some Arabic word but I overcome this problem by asking my supervisor. Also, I haven't known all the information about Emirates Post but in this class and doing some exercise with my group I have more idea about these things. In addition before the end of the class the teacher gives us a homework to try doing it in the house and then we will discuss it in the class with our group and after with him.

First day in Emirates Post

Sunday April 4, 2010 was the first day at work in Emirates Post. I went to the work before half an hour my feelings were happy and confused in the same time. When I enter Emirates Post I felt little comfortable because it was a good place. First, I went to the human Resource department to ask them about my supervisor office they took me to his office but he wasn't there so I stay with the secretary tell he came. My supervisor name was Mohammed Khadem and his department was administration Affair. When my supervisor came the secretary told him that I'm Maithaa for the trainee he was angry because he said that he didn’t approve my application and I was confused then the secretary called the Training Department and they send her the Email that I'm in their department but Mr. Mohammed said that he don’t want me to stay because he didn't approve my application so, the secretary Fatima call the Training Department and I talked to Mr. Saif AL Shehi and he told me that he will moved me to the Excellence Team but I must go to AL Krama Branch because they have a session there for three days then we will come back to Abu Hail Branch. I went there at 10:30 am I have been late because they begin their session at 8:00am and they have break from 10:30 tell 11:00 am when I arrived their Mr. Saif take me to my new supervisor her name is Abeer Al Hosani she was so kind she tell me a brief about the session and what I should know also, she told me that this program with is excellence is a very useful and it required when I will search for a job after the graduate. I learnt a lot of different thing about this program which is what they want from us and how can we improve ourselves to win the price in the end. Moreover, the sir gives us an exercise to do it in the home and we will discuss it the next day. I find some difficulties to know some Arabic words because our study all in English and this program was on Arabic but, Ms. Abeer helped me a lot to explain the meaning of some words and she was understanding that all our studies in English to answer my entire questions and happy to answer my entire questions.
